The DIKTRON DS4 MKII is designed to continuously monitor the level of pressure in
a compressed airline. When connected into an airline the DS4 MKII audible and visual
alarm gives a clear and positive indication as to whether the compressed air pressure
is above or below a pre-determined level. The state of pressure is indicated by a
green LED when it is at a safe high level. Should the pressure fall below a pre-set
point, considered too low for safety, the audible alarm sounds and the indicator
LED changes over to red. The alarm will remain in this danger mode until the compressed
air pressure rises to a point above the danger level, when it will revert to the
green 'safe' mode. The unit is switched on by means of the Key switch located on
the right hand side end face. While the DS4 MKII is primarily intended for use in
situations where breathing apparatus is being supplied by compressed air-line, it
readily lends itself to any application where it is important to have warning of
falling pressure in a compressed air system. Pressure Range. The point at which the
falling pressure will activate the alarm is set at the time of manufacture within
the 0-160p.s.i. range. The standard setting is 65 p.s.i.
Fixing Instructions. The DS4 is fitted to the air cylinder hose trolley, it is supplied
with fixing bracket which allows the unit to be installed or removed easily.
